About Me

Mabuhay and welcome! Calling the Philippines and the United States both my homes, I have been a teacher for almost 20 years now. This wonderful profession has brought me to some of the most beautiful places in the world.  My longest assignment was in the Caribbean (US Virgin Islands) where my family and I spent 9 years enjoying the beach, snorkeling, sailing and swimming. I spent most of my career in Early Childhood Special Education where I worked with some of the most loving, thoughtful and exceptional individuals I know of. This coming school year, I will venture to teaching General Education-Kindergarten, where I am looking to have more exciting interactions with another interesting group.

I finished my undergraduate studies in the Philippines and did graduate courses both in Special Education, so this Applied Digital Learning program is something very new to me. It is very challenging, but the learning is overflowing, and every effort is worth it. I welcome you to my very first eportfolio and invite you to share comments and feedback. There’s always room for growth, and I am a work in progress. As you visit my site, join me in this journey, as we discover the wonders of technology, and the promising future that awaits all of us.

With that being said and on a personal note, I have been married to my husband Pat for 17 years and together we have a 15-year-old son Noah. We love to travel and recently visited New Hampshire and fell in love with the place. This former island gal, now Texan girl might start packing suitcases en route that New England region. I am not at all athletic but lately

I'm beginning to love football and basketball. I love to eat and will always have an appetite for some good juicy burger, fresh sushi or some good ole lobster roll. I am a multitasker, a hard worker and a good sleeper!

Gracias! Salamat! Thank you!
